RETROSPECTIVE COMES TO DIGITAL 08.12
08.11.08: In advance of a forthcoming
brand-new studio project, former Petra
frontman Greg X. Volz sees the August 12
release of In
The Course of
Time,
a digital compilation spanning selected tracks
originally released on solo albums 1986-1991 and
not before available in digital formats. Arguably
one of the premier rock vocalists in the business,
Volz honed his chops at an early age - going on to
share the stage with the likes of Janis
Joplin, Chicago and many more.
It's expected that the full Greg X. Volz back
catalog will be released for digital formats in
early 2009 in conjunction with the new album, to be
distributed in the US in association with UMGD.
Highlights of In The Course of Time include
a faithful reworking of the Aerosmith
classic 'Dream On' and 'Hold On To The Fire' with
guests Phil Keaggy and Mark Farner of
Grand Funk Railroad.

Protest rock legend Neil Young has expressed
support for the forthcoming 3kStatic single 'Groove
at the Point of a Breakdown, Part 2 (featuring
Professor Griff and Kasuf & The Mazz Muvement)
by selecting the track for inclusion on the 'Song
of The Times' collection at the NeilYoung.com.
Featuring original lyrics and vocals by hip-hop
legend Professor Griff (Public Enemy) plus
instrumentation by Kasuf and The Mazz
Muvement (Kerwin Young of Bomb Squad and
producer of many Public Enemy releases), 'Groove at
the Point of a Breakdown, Pt. 2' is the second
3kStatic release to be included on Young's 'Songs
of The Times'.
'Songs of The Times' also currently features music
from Eric Clapton; J.J. Cale; Bad
Religion and many other socially-aware
artists.
The 'Groove at the Point of a Breakdown, Pt. 2'
digital single is released July 15, 2008. The
original version also appears on the dPulse/Cargo

artist Victor-Hugo Vaca II, whose own often
controversial works focus on matters of social

06.27.08: DPULSE PARTNERS WITH PROJECT 51 FOR
LANDMARK DNB RELEASE
Autopsy: The Dissection of Drum n' Bass by
AK1200 and Gridlok, a mammoth history of
the past (and future) of the drum n' bass movement,
will be released August 12 by dPulse and new
partner label Project Fifty-One Recordings.
Featuring a number of vaulted names in the genre
(including Dieselboy and many others),
Autopsy has been expertly constructed by
genre pioneer AK1200 and rapidly emerging star
Gridlok to deliver drum n' bass to the
forefront.
The release coincides with a US tour for AK1200 and
Gridlok. AK1200 will also tour with Planet of the
Drums in 2008.
The double CD release includes a 21-track
continuous mix and 10 full-length tracks. Disc 2
also includes parts for the Gridlok single
'Labrat', available to the listener for
remixing.

LEE PROMOTION
Tracks from dPulse artists Kasuf & The
Mazz Muvement and Basscamp have been
license to Nokia Productions for use as
soundtrack audio for user generator videos at
popular website Jumpcut.
The web event is part of a 'Music and humanity'
contest in which users create and submit videos.
The final winner(s) will be chosen by Spike
Lee, who will then create the official video
spot from user submitted content.
